fancy nancy

My courageous, beautiful wife Nancy was diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer on May 1, 2013. In May 2012, Nancy underwent surgery to remove a lump in her breast. However, doctors did not remove all of the cancer. One year later, in May of 2013, she was diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer that metastasized to multiple areas of her body. Many people would not be able to take that news, but Nancy put on a strong face and began to battle this, staying positive. She is determined to march on and FIGHT, but we both need your help.

We are both fans of alternative/naturopathic/integrated healthcare. Although Nancy has health insurance, it only covers so much. It does not cover the alternative IV therapies and supplements that she needs (her supplements alone cost $1,500 each month), and many of her tests. We have done a ton of research about alternative cancer treatments and have met several people who cured their cancer using alternative therapies. Although we believe this is the way to go, most people have little or no experience with alternative healthcare and mainstream medicine is dead set against it (but that’s another story for another day).

Our bills are adding up and we don’t know how we’re going to continue to pay for Nancy’s treatment. Our bank account is depleted and every credit card is maxed out. She is on disability, but the monies she receives barely covers her monthly bills—there are no funds left over for her treatments.

Nancy is currently undergoing an aggressive regimen of vitamin and mineral IV’s coupled with supplements and good nutrition. In the next couple of months, she’d like to visit an alternative MD in NY, who has had a lot of success with terminal cancer patients. The estimated cost for Nancy to continue her treatments over the next year and to receive care from the MD in NY is $40,000. Additionally, monies are needed for one or two pieces of equipment plus treatment and supplements and care. We humbly ask you to please make a donation of some sort to get us where we need to be for her care, whether a small or large donation—it doesn’t make a difference to us as long as we can get you and others to help us at some level. Every little bit helps!

Your positive thoughts, prayers, and donations are appreciated more than you know and will help me with my goal of having a very long life with my honey. We will keep everyone posted on Nancy’s healing journey.

Feel free to share this fundraiser with others who know me or would support this cause.
